Improving The Google rankings of inTank Technologies

Invanity started working with inTank in early 2019 with the goal of gaining higher search rankings for their keywords in order to drive more organic traffic into the website and ultimately deliver more business through Google search.  

The first thing Invanity did was create a keyword basket that guaranteed success. Using our advanced SEO software we identified 53 keywords that had a high search volume and related to the products/services which inTank offer. We knew that if we could improve the rankings of these carefully selected keywords then the organic search traffic would, without doubt, increase and from here. Having analysed their conversion data we could also see that they were converting visitors to leads at a high percentage, so if traffic increased in the correct ways we knew the enquires would look after themselves.

Once a keyword basket was established we set up advanced tracking so that we could analyse where any leads had come from, allowing us to identify which enquires had come from organic website traffic and consequently determine how many sales came directly from the SEO work we were doing.

Once effective tracking was in place, Invanity completed a full technical SEO audit and fixed 157 issues within the inTank site, before using our advanced SEO software to check how each individual page within the inTank website has been built in order to rank for the relevant keywords. We then performed on-page SEO to ensure that specific pages were set up to rank for one of these selected keywords. When complete we re-submitted the sitemap into Google Search Console for re-crawling and re-indexing.

From here, we monitored success and built backlinks which were aimed at increasing domain authority so the reputation of the website in Google’s eyes increased. 

What Were the Results?

In January 2019 the average ranking of the 53 keywords identified was 27, at the end of 2019 the average was 9, with 17 keywords ranking inside Googles top 3 results nationally.

Organic traffic increased by 24% during 2019 compared to 2018 and inTank got a complete return on their 12 month commitment within the first 4 months of working with us.
