The brief.
Watch Doctors had spent 40 years building expertise in luxury watch repair, establishing themselves as a trusted name for servicing premium timepieces. Despite this reputation and a website that converted reasonably well (at 2-3%), they were receiving just 70 repair enquiries per month through organic search. SEO hadn’t been a priority in previous years, and competitors were capturing valuable search traffic for high-intent keywords around Rolex, Omega, and TAG Heuer repairs.
The opportunity was clear: Watch Doctors had the capacity, expertise, and conversion performance to handle significantly more volume. They needed to increase organic visibility to scale lead generation and capture market share in the luxury watch repair sector.
The approach.
We built a 12-month SEO strategy, immediately investing in brand-specific repair pages. Through search data analysis, we identified a clear trend: users searched for watch repairs through brand queries – “Rolex Watch Repair”, “Omega Watch Repair” – capturing promising search volume across hundreds of luxury watch brands.
We built a repeatable template optimised for these high-intent searches, scaling to 170 brand-specific pages. Each page targeted commercially valuable keywords while addressing the specific search intent of owners looking to repair or service their premium timepieces.
We identified that pricing was a clear ranking factor. By including price ranges on service pages, we immediately gained visibility in Google’s featured snippets – a benefit that has transferred effectively into Google’s AI Overviews as search evolved.
Alongside the brand page strategy, we implemented technical optimisations to improve site performance and continuously monitored data to identify new opportunities. The 2024 website rebuild amplified SEO performance, delivering an immediate uplift in both traffic and conversion rates.
